The engineering decisions behind a record nobody has ever successfully argued with.
Most audit logs fail the one test that matters
Plenty of systems log what happened. Far fewer can answer the question an auditor actually asks, which is: why did this happen, who decided it, and could it have happened any other way?
What we record
Every run stores the agent and instruction that triggered it, the full input data at that moment, the resulting action, and the before-and-after state of anything it touched. Approvals record who approved, when, and what they saw at the time.
That last detail matters more than it sounds. An approval is only meaningful if you can reconstruct what the approver was looking at when they gave it.
Immutable, and exportable
Entries are append-only. Nothing edits or deletes history, including us. Retention is configurable per workspace to match your compliance window, and the whole log exports in one click — because the moment an auditor asks is the worst possible time to be building an export.
